HAVAS VILLAGE TEA PROJECT
The teas will be a welcome for new starters, as well and clients and friends when they arrive at the agency, as a way to celebrate the history of the land, and the HAVAS values - culture, diversity and, most importantly, its people. In the Gadigal language, there is no word for “welcome” but “Budjari” is the nearest, which means a ‘friendly recognition’ and ‘hello’.
Working with Troy Benjamin, founder of First Nations owned and Geelong based tea company Blak Brews, HAVAS has launched three unique teas, sourced from native plants and trees, each with names crowd-sourced from agency teams.
We commissioned Konstantina, a proud Gadigal artist, to create unique artwork for the packaging of each type of tea. The original paintings that the designs are made from are now on display in the agency.
Each tea has its own quality:
• Yeah, but is it a Gold Lion? (Lemon Mrytle Tea) – to stimulate the mind and creativity.
• Don’t Be Shy (Red Centre Tea) – a calming tea to help with that BIG presentation.
• Wakey Wakey (Desert Sunrise Tea) – to help you get through a tough day and pressing deadlines.
